The main Office System operations are the preparation of new databases, post-processing of track measurement data collected in the field, cleanup and editing of the data, analytical calculations, and production of reports. For best results, activities should be carried out in that order.
Some Enterprise level databases are generated from standalone MS Access databases; others are preconfigured as Oracle databases. If your Enterprise level database is not preconfigured as an Oracle database, we recommend that the time-and-CPU-intensive work of data processing, cleanup and editing be done using standalone MS Access databases. Only after a new run has been brought to production quality should it be imported to the Enterprise database where it becomes visible to end-users. Databases that are preconfigured as Oracle databases, such as UP databases, are imported from a staging database into Rangecam.
