The Classification Options dialog allows you to choose between standard and customized methods of rail classification.
The standard classification method uses the settings in the Rail Classification table. To use the standard method, leave the Macro field blank.
If classification criteria are complex, the standard method may not work. In that case you may use a custom macro to classify rail based on any criteria that can be defined with reference to one or more of the following values: rail type, vertical wear, gauge face wear, field face wear, head area, percent head loss, cant angle, gauge face angle, and rail hardness code (defined in the Track Segment table, in section Track Segment). The macro file (extension .MCR) must reside in the EXE\MCR folder within the Rangecam installation folder. To use a custom macro, type its name, without extension, in the Macro field and click OK.
