The Compact Profile Data choice on the Database menu allows you to recover disk space if runs have been deleted from a Microsoft Access database. (This function is not available for Enterprise databases.)
A dialog box will tell you how much space can be recovered, and give a very rough estimate of the time required.
It is not necessary to run Compact Profile Data after deleting data collections if you intend to read additional runs into the same database. Rangecam will automatically re-use the space.
The Compact Profile Data choice will not compact the portion of the database maintained by MS Access. For that, you must use Access itself. For more information on database compaction, see section Database Management.
