CN Class Table Conversion

The tool "Convert CN Class table" automates some operations to modify content of some tables.

During conversion the tool

• modifies content of class table of Microsoft Access Rangecam DB,
• updates record in DB that is responsible to activate CN classification macro when DB is opening,
• and remove all content from rail_class table, because standard rail classification cannot be used together with classification macro.

Installation

The program has two files: DbClassModification.CN.exe and Imh.Import.TOM.dll.  Both of them should be located in the same folder. No other special procedures are required to install it.

Before start. To apply this tool an user should have a permission to modify MS Access DB.

Usage

Order of application

• Open Rangecam version 14.2. Open Db ver 12. Rangecam converts it to db version 14. After conversion Db has new structure of version 14, but CN content is still old. Rangecam is not ready ready to work with CN macro.
• Run file DbClassModification.CN.exe. Convert content of class table, sysrc table and rail_class table. Now DB is ready to work with CN macro.
• Open Rangecam again. Now Rangecam is ready to works with CN macro. Do calculations and so on.

How to apply

Start a program. A window shown in Figure 1 appears. Only one button is available.

Open Database. Click database icon on toolbar, or Ctrl+O. Select folder dialog will appear. Select a folder where Rangecam databases are located. click Ok. If database is opened successfully you will see content of class table in data grid.

Conversion. Click button convert. table will be converted. New content is shown in data grid.

If the table was successfully updated message informs user that 5 records were inserts in table.

If failed the program report an error.
