The Gauge Face Angle Options dialog allows you to choose between standard and customized methods of calculating gauge face angle.
Gauge Face Angle Calculation dialog
The standard gauge face angle calculation uses only the Gauge Face Angle settings in the Modeling Options dialog . To use the standard calculation, leave the Macro field blank.
If the standard method does not serve your needs, you may use a custom macro to calculate gauge face angle. A custom calculation can be based on all the standard gauge face angle options, plus two additional options specified in this dialog.
The standard method defines a region on the gauge face that is used as a Gauge Face Angle test zone. The additional parameters available in this dialog allow the overall test zone to be divided into a number of sub-zones of a specified height. Gauge face angle can be tested separately in each sub-zone, and the results combined according to customer specifications to yield a final Gauge Face Angle measurement.
The macro file (extension .MCR) must reside in the EXE\MCR folder within the Rangecam installation folder. To use a custom macro, type its name, without extension, in the Macro field and click OK.
Please contact Holland LP if you require a custom Gauge Face Angle macro.
