Detailed instructions concerning initialization and loading of an Enterprise database (i.e. a Rangecam database managed by the Oracle or SQL Server DBMS) are beyond the scope of this document. A customer-specific document covering this subject will be supplied to Rangecam Enterprise licensees by Holland LP / Industrial Metrics.
The Database/Import/Convert Access Database to Enterprise selection on the Profile View menu is used for initial loading of an Enterprise database from existing MS Access databases. This selection is only enabled when Rangecam Office System is connected to an Enterprise database.
The Database/Import/Copy Runs selection may be used to import individual runs to the current database from another Access database. It is used to copy one or runs to an Enterprise database after the initial loading, and it may also be used to copy runs from one Access database to another.
Note: Rail inventory and averages are not imported from Access. After joining runs in Enterprise, the Calculate All function should be used to calculate Inventory and Averages for imported profile runs.
