Introduction

The phase 1 of the project ETL (Extract-Transfer-Load, who care to name it?) was realized in Holland Co in 2018. It simplifies data transfer from MySQL ARIES DB to MS Access Rangecam DB.

The application RC Import (stands for Rangecam Import) allows user to select one of the several ARIES DB and move one or several runs to selected Rangecam DB.

Runs may or may not include track geometry data, profiles, defects, track points and location (mileposts).

The application utilizes web-technology to pull out the data from the ARIES DB and allows the user to work only within the Holland intranet (in other words VPN is necessary if the user stays outside of the Holland office).

It requires framework .NET 4.6.1 to be installed on the 32 or 64-bit Windows 7 or younger machine.
