Introduction

Holland's initiative Extract–Transform–Load (ETL) streamlines the secure transfer of inspection data from the MySQL‑based ARIES database to the Microsoft Access‑based Rangecam repository.

The desktop utility RC Import lets operators choose an ARIES database and copy one or more runs into a target Rangecam database. For each transfer you can include or exclude any combination of:

• Track‑geometry measurements
• Rail‑profile data
• Defect records
• Track‑point events
• Location references (mileposts)

RC Import communicates with ARIES through Holland’s internal web services. When working outside a Holland office you must connect through VPN.

System requirements: Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8 or later and a 32‑ or 64‑bit edition of Windows 10 or newer.
