You start Rangecam with the Open Database dialog.

This version of the dialog is used to open a standalone MS Access database. To open an Enterprise (Oracle) database, click the Enterprise button. This dialog will be replaced by the Open Enterprise Database dialog.
If you have created multiple options folders, the Open Standalone Database dialog will contain Option Folder line allowing you to choose which previously-saved option settings to use with this database. Refer to the New Options Folder topic.
The Browse button opens a standard Windows Open File dialog allowing you to navigate your system to find databases. A Rangecam database folder should always contain two MS Access database files, measrail.mdb and permrail.mdb. You can open the databases by selecting either of these files and clicking OK, or the Enter key. If you are using Wheel Analyst, you may also see a third database file, measwheel.mdb.
Alternatively, you may type the entire path in the Database Folder field in this dialog. Or, you may enter a partial path and click the List button. This will search your system for any subfolders containing Rangecam databases. In the list, double-click on the database you want to open.
When you open a database that contains more than one division and/or subdivision you will be prompted to select one for viewing.
To switch databases without closing Rangecam, you must close the open database and open the new one using the menu. Use the Open Database selection on the System menu of the Log Window. (Click on the Log Window if necessary to activate its menu.) Use the Open Database selection on the System menu that appears when the database has been closed.
